What is oral surgery

This is a recognised speciality which deals with the diagnosis and surgical management of anomalies and pathological processes of the teeth and their supporting structures.

Treatment is normally carried out on an out-patient basis under local anaesthesia and sedation.

The General Dental Council has been registering recognised specialists in oral surgery since June 1998.

What cases do we treat

Oral surgery comprises over 80% of our cases. We treat over 100 patients each week from a wide referral area across Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. We also accept by prior arrangement a limited number of cases for simple restorative treatment involving pain relief of acute symptoms.
